A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

If there’s active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you’ll get a warning from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than a click if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting package with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click on that icon.
