Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Set up in 2001, the .NAME generic TLD is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. At first, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level domain names remained online.

Through our firm, you can order your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar company and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific rules on who can reserve a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
